The Brotherhood of St Laurence are the local Partners in the Community in the delivery of the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) across North East Melbourne, Hume Moreland, Bayside Peninsula, Western Melbourne and Brimbank Melton areas.

Since July 2016, our services have assisted people with disability in the North East Melbourne municipalities of Whittlesea, Nillumbik, Yarra, Darebin and Banyule.

Local Area Coordination services commenced on 1 March 2018 in the Hume Moreland areas and Bayside Peninsula areas commenced on 1 April 2018.

Starting from October 1, 2018, we will be delivering the NDIS across the Western Melbourne and Brimbank Melton areas.

If you live with disability, we will support you to identify and pursue your lifestyle goals by developing a plan and linking you to mainstream or community services.

If you meet the Access Requirements (see the NDIS website) for funded supports, we will help you to engage with the NDIS and to exercise choice and control over the reasonable and necessary supports you can receive.

We focus our service on building the capacity of individuals and the community – recognising that economic and social participation are indispensable components to a life of common dignity.
